Job Description:

  • The Cardiac/Pulmonary Program Nurse is an RN and is responsible for evaluation and treatment of patients with cardiac conditions, pulmonary conditions, and diabetes in order to control the medical symptoms.
  • The Cardiac/Pulmonary Program Nurse will establish individualized plan of care for each patient.
  • The program nurse will use cardiac monitors when necessary, instruct patients on their conditions and safe exercise, use of diet with exercise and medications, and assist the patient in making healthy life decisions to enable the highest quality of life possible.
  • The program nurse will be responsible for maintaining proper documentation of all areas, including having the medical director sign off monthly.
