Qualifications:

  • Education: Pharmacy Technician certification and licensed by the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy
  • Experience: Hospital pharmacy technician preferred

Job Description:

  • Responsible for assisting the pharmacist in the daily receiving, processing, and dispensing of all physician orders;

  • Restocking Automated Dispensing Cabinets;

  • Restocking Trays;

  • Checking outdates;

  • Rotating inventory;

  • Checking for outdates;

  • Complete paperwork;

  • Perform sterile compounding;

  • Perform non-sterile compounding;

  • Performs hand hygiene and garbing per protocols;

  • Practice aseptic techniques; clean and disinfect spaces per regulations;

  • Contributes to the efficient operation of the department;

  • Promotes the organizations core commitments.

  • Frequently accesses email to stay up to date on information within the organization and provides a way of communication between staff members.
