Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or GED
• Experience: Preferred 1 year of medical office experience
• Additional Requirements:

  • Collections,
  • Data Entry,
  • At least 6 months of prior healthcare experience or at least 1 year of customer service experience.

Job Description:

• The patient services representative (PSR) is responsible for a variety of administrative functions and patient care activities in support of the clinic to include - checking-in/outpatients collecting co-pays, verifying insurance, scheduling appointments and assist ng clinical staff to provide support for the efficient delivery of patient care.

• Job Responsibilities:

  • Greeting patients,
  • Scheduling appointments,
  • Answering phone calls,
  • Verifying insurance information,
  • Collecting co-payments or deductibles,
  • Assisting patients with any questions they may have about their treatment or services.
  • Updating patient records accurately,
  • Handling medical records,
  • Maintaining confidentiality of patient information,
  • Ensuring that patients have a positive experience during their visit.
  • May also be responsible for handling patient complaints or concerns and escalating them to the appropriate supervisor or manager when necessary.
